中国旅美科协犹他分会将于2018年1月27日（星期六）下午两点半到晚上九点在犹他大学Guest House的Fort Douglas Ballroom 召开2018年年会。本届年会主题是“科技与未来 Science, Technology and Future”。和往年一样，年会将由晚宴和专题研讨会组成。
今年我们很荣幸邀请到美国国家科学院院士、美国艺术与科学院院士、中国科学院外籍院士、犹他大学化学系 Peter J. Stang教授在晚宴上做主题演讲，演讲的题目是：A Biological Self-Assembly: Predesigned Metallacycles and Metallocages via Coordination (生物自组装：通过配位预先设计金属大环化合物和金属分子笼)。
CAST-UT 2018 Annual Conference will be held on Jan. 27 (Saturday) at the Guest House of University of Utah. The theme of this year’s annual conference is “Science, Technology and Future”. The conference includes multiple parallel sessions in the afternoon and a banquet/plenary session in the evening.
The keynote speaker is Peter Stang, Ph.D., a distinguished Professor of Chemistry at the University of Utah, and a national medalist of science, and a reciepient of Chinese Government “Friendship Award” & “International Cooperation Award in Science and Technology”. He has also served as editor of the Journal of the American Chemical Society since 2002. His keynote speech title is: A Biological Self-Assembly: Predesigned Metallacycles and Metallocages via Coordination.
In addition, CAST-UT will continue to award Outstanding High School Students Scholarship and Outstanding Research Award, and has already started to accept applications to the awards.
The afternoon parallel sessions include various potential topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Economics and Financial Planning. The research Award candidates’ presentation will also be in the afternoon session.
On-site registration to the conference will start at 2:30pm. The symposiums will start at 3:00pm. The Conference banquet social will start at 6:00pm. Parking will be free. Online Registration has now started.
CAST-UT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promote mutual understanding, communication and collaboration between US and China. It also provides various services to the local Chinese communities in the U.S. The annual conference is one of the most important events of CAST-UT and has been pulling in more and more organizations, business associates and professionals in all areas. Attendees were from universities, enterprises, and governments of both U.S. and China.

- a paid lifetime member or annual membership fee paid after 08/15/2017: $20
- a regular member renewal or new member (membership fee included): $50
- an associate, i.e. the spouse or a family member (>14 yrs, or 9th grade and above): $30
- a new student member (membership fee included): $30
- a corporate member (2 regular memberships included): $300
- to become a Lifetime Member now (dinner fee will be waived for now): $200
